Assessment Center (AC)

An Assessment Centre is the final stage of the recruitment and selection process, whether internal or external.

The objective is to support the final decision to hire a candidate for a specific role while maintaining an objective approach in the decision-making process.

The Assessment Centre relies on a proven method to objectively assess and validate the skills of one or more candidates using multiple sources of information from various situations and contexts.

Development Center (DC)

Although the objectives are different, a Development Centre shares some similarities with an Assessment Centre.

A Development Centre is dedicated to personal development and highlights existing skills as well as areas for improvement.

At the request of a company or an employee, a Development Centre identifies key skills and areas for development for a specific role within the context of career development.

What is assessed and how?

The Assessment / Development Centre consists of a range of exercises, including personality and motivation questionnaires, reasoning tests, interviews, and role-playing scenarios (case studies), in order to provide an objective assessment of interpersonal skills. It is a supplementary HR tool for making an informed decision before hiring or promoting someone.

The Development Centre, while based on the Assessment Centre methodology, focuses on skill development through feedback and coaching to create a personalised training programme.
